He bought together all the resources along with the family under the guidance of his beloved father Mr. M.P .Rao who himself was a ceramic engineering graduate from Banaras Hindu university (1944). MPR Refractories has come all the way since its inception wherein now the company is well known name in Refractories Business not just in india but globally. The company has its Registered office in Heart of the City Hyderabad and a manufacturing plant with over 7 different divisions for specialized Product manufacturing in Bolaram industrial Area, Hyderabad . The company operations are not just confined to India but it has spread its roots across Asia Pacific & Middle-East through multiple Joint ventures.
Dr M.Appayya was a Metallurgist with vast experience in the Steel Industry & possessed a Doctorate Degree in Management. He was the Elected Chairman of the Employer’s Federation of Southern India (EFSI) for three consecutive terms. Being an active member of the Federation of Telengana Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FAPCCI) he represents the body in various committees. The company was a brain child of his vision in year 1988 where in the seeding of the company was done under the supervision of his father Mr M.P.Rao. Dr Appyya as a Chairperson of the company always believed & consider its employees & stakeholders as a crucial part of his business and have always been there as a strong support in times of need.
